Non-profit
The CAIDI Institute is a 501c3 nonprofit Education and Innovation Think Tank. It brings together people from different disciplines to share their ideas and perspectives generating new and innovative solutions to problems through technology, the arts and policy making. When necessary, the CAIDI Center's lab facility enables rapid prototyping and testing before attempting to implement at a larger scale.
CAIDI Starts is a B-Corp incubator promoting diversity and inclusion in all areas of innovation and is owned by CAIDI.
The Center enables innovators, policymakers, inventors, scientists, and artists from underrepresented groups to turn their ideas into reality for the benefit if society.
Fellows participate in 6 month fully funded cohorts culminating with the formation a late stage prototype or MVP. Subsidiary B-Corps have the opportunity to be funded by investors from the CAIDI Funding Network.
The CAIDI Institute accepts both donations and endowments. The founding donor(s) of an endowment will have the first right of refusal to invest in any of the B-Corps that are spawned from CAIDI Starts.

Subsidiaries
CAIDI Starts subsidiaries are formed at the end of each CAIDI Starts incubator cohort. Each subsidiary becomes a B-Corp. Once the legal entity is formed, CAIDI Starts is instrumental in sourcing funding for each initiative. Once funded, CAIDI Starts builds the executive team around the founding member and helps select a board of directors to ensure that the subsidiary becomes and remains a Certified B-Corp and adheres to CAIDI values and principles of social and environmental good. CAIDI retains a 10% equity stake in all CAIDI Starts subsidiaries.
